This is caused by the fact that your Wii cannot for whatever reason connect to your access point. To fix it take these steps: 1. Change the channel of the router to 11 or 1 as this might make your download speeds pick up quite a bit. 2. If router is using WEP make sure your is in Hex Code and nothing else but HEX code. 3. If you are encrypted at 64bit your key should be 10 characters 4. If you are encrypted at 128bit the key you use should be 26 characters. NOTE: If using WPA the compatibilities for the Wii are WPA-PSK in TKIP/AES and if using WPA2 will be PSK AES and if you are using MAC filtering make sure that the Wii MAC addy is on the approved MAC addy list on the settings or your router. This is an issue with your router or firewall. Check your network IP settings and/or try setting up the Wii manually using your network IP settings. Performing a manual setup of your Wii in this way follow these steps: START/RUN/CMD/ENTER/IPCONFIG/ALL/ENTER ( If you are using Windoze Vista and OMG I hope your not! Once you have found the IP settings that you need use them to set up your Wii game console manually. Then go ahead and power down and then power back up your router, I like to do this by unplugging everything from the wall and back in again and sometimes I will hold the power button in for sixty seconds to discharge the board then power it all up again. Once this is done attempt to get your Wii connected to the net again. If that does not do it then go ahead and turn off the routers security and try to connect again. All this might seem very complicated and it can be, but the fact of the matter is that you can fix the wii if you have a good wii repair guide.
